Chang Byung-gyu who is one of the founders of Bluehole and own holds 20% of the company’s shares told to Bloomberg that they are negotiating with the main console producers in order to release PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in other platforms. This game which broke records in terms of the amount of the players has a very large fan base in all around the world.
Chang Byung-gyu emphasized the PlayStation 4 platform in his statement and he told that they are negotiating with Sony and exchanging ideas for releasing the game on PlayStation 4 after it will be released for the Xbox One.
Of course we have to talk about other consoles apart from Sony when we have mentioned main console producers. Although Nintendo’s name is not mentioned a lot, they are one of the largest producers however the possibility of releasing the game for this platform is unknown. But while Skyrim and Doom is on the way to Switch why we should not see PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in that platform as well?
Microsoft will release Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds special for Xbox towards to end of this year. Many players thought that the game will be exclusive to Xbox however Bluehole stated that they will be developing the game for the PlayStation console and maybe this exclusive period will be limited.
In fact, this was not a surprise, it was an attack which could be expected from Bluehole. Fortnite which opened its Battle Royale mod for free in PlayStation 4 already showed that this kind of game should not be specific to Xbox One platform only and it took measures for Bluehole to have the supremacy in Xbox One platform. It seems that Bluehole already know what they need to do in order to keep the lead.
